Leveraging New York State’s long history and expertise in hydroelectric power generation and mining legacy, Albany-based Serium Energy Storage is pioneering the use of underground, closed-loop, pumped storage to help meet global decarbonization goals.

Serium Energy Storage, LLC is a strategic collaboration between Hull Street Energy and Albany Engineering Corporation. Hull Street Energy, through its affiliate Central Rivers Power, owns and operates 45 hydroelectric power plants totaling 343 MWs of generation in the U.S. including 14 stations in New York. Albany Engineering Corporation is one of New York’s oldest and most distinguished hydroelectric engineering houses. In addition to owning and developing hydroelectric power plants in New York, many of which feature innovative designs, AEC has been an active global participant in advancing hydroelectric technologies since 1985.
